Hello, darlings!!! I hope you all had fabulous, fun, sundrenched holidays.
Mine was one of the best so far, in fact it was so good I almost forgot how to use computer (I am typing with one finger again) (well, almost). I hope you forgive me for being soooooo lazy - but it was August! The most glorious of all summer months! And then it was followed by this beautiful, hot and sunny September, so I had to go to the seaside again!
And now I am back, I am happy to invite you to come to the Steert Art exhibition opening tonight at 7 PM in Supermarket concept store. You will be able to see works by stencil artist TKV (read more about her here) and graffiti artists Lortek, Sobekcis, Super Timor and Sito (a.k.a. Optimus). In case you can’t make it tonight – no worries, it will be open for 10 days.
Still not so happy with being back from your free, flip-flopping holidays? Then check out these beautiful flat shoes by Budislava Krnojelac you can buy in “No Brothers No Sisters” shop in Choomic Design District from this moment on! They come in fine leather and various colors, and you can even ask for a personalized pair in your own color-combo.
These ones are my favorite. They are perfect for coming back to the city life. Just click your heels three times and repeat: “there’s no place like home”.

You know what? It is good to be back!
PS: Thank you all for supporting this little blog on the competition for big international project Bloggers Wardrobe. It is still on, so in the case you didn’t know about it, you still can vote for Belgrade Flapper by following this link and clicking “Like” under the Flapper bird icon (in order to do that, you have to like the Bloggers Wardrobe page first). It sure would be great to be a part of it - imagine all the interesting new things I would be able to tell you all about then!
PPS: And I promise you will not hear from me anything about autumn collections, boots and coats until the last summer sunray prevails.

I have been taking enjoying this summer rather seriously – which means taking it sloooow, enjoying being soooo lazy, sitting on the terrace with a book in the hands and then after every couple of lines drifting away, watching the heated, empty city streets and thinking of nothing really (except of what to pack for a yoga retreat- but that is another story), just enjoying being immersed into sun heat and retro coconut-scented sun lotion…and apparently writing sentences as long as summer afternoons…and being extremely irregular with writing posts.
It also means a menu of watermelons, gazpacho and other delicacies sourced from Kalenic green market. Only proper food that feels right on the heat is perhaps the one hanging around your neck… Wait, what?!
No, really- cheerful and humorous accessories by Croatian design group behind Oh,Tiger! brand have arrived to Belgrade and now you can purchase them in Pull My Daisy shop!
‘don’t know about you, but even if I won’t be eating any bacon and eggs anytime soon, I sure would not mind wearing it.

Of course, the very idea of handmade, silk lingerie with ribbons and bows and lace makes every heart in a room skip. There is hardly anything that sounds more appealing that that (maybe only “shoes custom made of glove-soft leather with handmade matte-metal details” – oooh, I would love that toooo), so it is no surprise that Belgrade lingerie brand Damsel in Distress has already gained many passionate fans.
Well, wait till you hear this – with the perfect timing, the designer Olga Markovic has launched the first collection of Damsel in Distress swimwear…but wait a minute- every minute spent swimming in water in these gorgeous bikinis with a charming retro feel would be a terrible waste, with no one to see them and admire them apart from some lucky sea creatures who don’t care much about fashion, right?
But then again, “strolling-up-and-down-along-the beach, drinking –cocktails-in-beach-bar-wear” would be too long, would it?
Anyway, check out a part of the collection, modeled by lovely Andjelija Vujovic and shot by Milena Rakocevic, and I could not resist putting them alongside wonderful sketches by Olga from the time these swimsuits were not much more then an idea in her head.
PS: You can admire them in person, try them on and buy them in Studio Alternativa in Choomich Design District.

While some of us (or is it just me) don’t think further of where to spend the next of what now appears to be an endless sequence of sunny & warm weekends, there are those who think a bit more in advance and work, work, work, as their name implies.
The summer has not officially started yet, but Belgrade Workshop chose this hot and melting day to throw a little party to mark the arrival of their A/W collection.
One of the shops that changed its romantic and trendy Dorćol location for air-conditioned, glass castle of Eurocentar mall in Makedonska Street, Belgrade Workshop did not change its starting idea and decision to be a place where the young and the talented will get their chance. So, the entire tender-colored collection was designed by Milan Zejak. It has a very ‘60s vibe to it, doesn’t it (and did I tell you 1000 times already how crazy I am about the ‘60s?)? Just look at those stylized white petals (very autumnish, when you think about it) - they must be my favorite detail.
May I have your attention back for a moment? Please direct it to the photographs themselves, shot by promising young photographer (and graffiti artists, but he does that under his underground name) Nemanja Špoljaric. Don't forget I was the first who told you about him ('cause I surely won't be the last).
And then check out the shoes too- but more about them on another occasion.

Wish warm welcome to the summer weather in bold sun-colored dresses: yellow for the day, golden for the night.
The designer is Flora Goticcelli- I told you this girl would shine, remember?
