There were entries and entries since I first wrote about a young Macedonian jewelry designer Branka Dancevska whose old-school girl collar turned into a necklace won me over at a Take Away Fashion, In fact, she was one of the first designers featured here.

Now it seems that history really is repeating, because at the last designer gathering in “Grad” it was again her hand-made silver collection entitled “Global Warming” that occupied most of my attention.

Charming and subtle silver chains with motifs of clouds and thunderbolts got me melting like a Polar Pole – and then I realized that the title was not referring to the environmental issue, but to the effect her collection has on us, people with a soft spot for beautiful design. Unwarned, we might get all crazy and suffer jewelry and accessory overdose.

As part of the collection, she also showed a pair of miss-matching earrings – one a little thunderbolt, the other an onyx stone, really good solution for when you can’t decide what kind of earrings you feel like wearing today. So ever since, I am thinking about adopting this idea, hmmm. I don’t know- what do you think: mismatching earrings -yes on no?
