YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE THE DREAM I HAD E-mail

Every decent household in Belgrade with a grandma around used to have in its possession a book called “Big Folk Dream Interpreter”. It contained clues to all imaginable things one could have possibly dreamt, with special attention to what might have passed as minor details to an inexperienced eye. For example, a tree would have a completely different meaning if you were climbing it in your dream, watching it, picking fruit from it, or laying in its shade. Genius.

And the style…the style was thrilling. There was no shadow of a doubt, no “maybes” or “probablies” (oh, spell checker, give me a break, I must use plural here because of MY style). The book was very decisive. You dreamt eating fruit, if it was red, you WILL be engaged in a passionate affair in a blink of an eye. A storm- you are doomed pall, no beating around the bush. I mean, what modern day therapist would dare giving you such bold opinions? None!

Do you know this book? No? You are missing so much, then. You know what, I will try to imitate it for you now!
So, what does it mean to dream….

Silk- You will come across a new collection that will be delicate, soft and dreamy and you will like it very much.

Fine embroidery- The collection will be completely handmade. Com-ple-te-ly!!!

Star- The name of the designer has something to do with recognition, perhaps fame….like, maybe, Slavna. Yes, if there is any designer named Slavna, this is collection by her!

High heel- Oh, the author has left for somewhere distant, perhaps abroad, perhaps Berlin? Plus, the collection is very elegant.

Green path- The collection is named after a film by Peter Greenaway! Oh, I don’t know which one, I am just a Dream Interpreter, not an IMDB!

You don’t believe in all this mumbo-jumbo? Behold: Spring/Summer 2011 collection by Slavna Martinovic titled “Pillowbox”.

Oh-you see?! I am good, aren’t I?
