MARCH TAKE AWAY FASHION E-mail

It seems that this Take Away Fashion, which took place last weekend (March 27th and 28th) in Cultural Center Grad, was all about plastic jewelry and headbands. From Rename shop, to Zorana Mitrovic (Empress Design) and a new face Milica Balubdzic who came in from Vienna, there hardly was any object produced in plastic that you could not pin or hang around your neck or your ears –from furniture pieces (chairs, tables), to animals and weather phenomena.

Headbands were, as I said, big in this event, and big in literal sense – stand of Marija Jankovic (Rehab Accessories) was difficult to approach – obvious evidence of a solid fan base, and everywhere around there were buttons, stuffed animals, rhinestones…waiting to end up on top on somebody’s head. In this headband tsunami it was precious to see something really new- and this time it was Dragana Romic with her origami and movie-tape collections of headbands and jewelry.

Overall, accessories dominated clothes, spreading from accessories-exclusive first floor to the ground floor too. On clothes racks, T shirts were the most frequent, but I had to notice interesting recycled dresses made of used cotton and old sports T-shirts, stapled black blazer by Jovana Markovic (new take on office wear!) and cozy looking grey coat by Fish and Chips.

PS: I am glad to say that the fitting room situation has improved, and a couple of additional full-length mirrors for the future events would be even better.
